Cheerful desktop calendars for August

Can you believe it’s August already? One thing I always like about moving into a new month are the new desktop wallpaper calendars that are offered for free monthly by some talented illustrators. They are all so nice that it’s hard to choose. In May I already summed up my favourites, but for those who missed it, here they are again with their August illustrations. Which one will you download and set as your wallpaper?

Pimpelmees, a Dutch illustator and designer of stationery always has whimsical and vintage-inspired desktop wallpaper calendars. Her free downloadable monthly calendars can be found here.

Gennine Zlatkis from Mexico is one of my favourite illustrators. Why? Because she works a lot with birds, and beautifully captures natural elements in her illustrations. She has a book coming out in October. I can’t wait!  Her free downloads are here.

Studio Vrolijk is another one of my favourites. And this month they created the ultimate summertime desktop calendar. Flip flops in vibrant colours, what else do you need to get that summer feeling? You can find their free monthly downloads here.

Caroline Johansson, illustrator en graphic designer always features animals. For August two cute foxes, and a beautiful mint green background. Love it! You can find her monthly wallpapers here.

Elisandra shares her creations on her blog. Are you ready to harvest?

Basic Grey always has those pretty pastels and flowers. Check back for her free monthly downloads here.

Rebekka Seale‘s signature wallpaper: a wreath with flowers and branches of the season. Get her free downloadable calendars here.

The website smashingmagazine.com is a platform for designers, artists and illustrators to share their work. They also have a monthly international competition to send in desktop calendars.  There you’ll always find something to your liking. Like this one designed by Agata Maciљgowska from Poland.
