Boil and brew

Tea can be unpleasantly bitter or disappointingly tasteless when improperly steeped. A conscientious approach to tea preparation can maximize the flavor and health benefits provided by the tea. And since I drink liters of tea a day, I thought it would be a good idea to explore different water kettles.

I am very pleased to say that I found a splendid electric water kettle to boil my water at the right temperature so I can brew the perfect cup of tea or coffee. I got it a huge cooking store in Rotterdam called Kookpunt, a heaven for foodies, cupcake bakers, and tableware lovers. The kettle enables you to boil your water at multiple degrees: 80° C for green tea, 85°C for fruit tea, 90°C for oolong teas, 95°C for coffee, and 100°C for black tea. There is also a “keep warm” button that works for 20 minutes.
