Tulip fields and flower gardens at the Keukenhof

For spectacular flower displays you go to the Dutch flower gardens the Keukenhof. It had been 25 years since my last visit, so I felt it was time to explore Holland’s gem again. I love tulips and hyacinths, especially the far stretching fields I pass on the highway. Each year I take photographs because they will always continue to mesmerize me. I also love seeing the tourist going totally wild and oooh and aaah-ing. It makes me more aware of the beauty of it all. A visit to the Keukenhof is therefor a must when visiting the Netherlands in spring. Most people go early. I advise to go late, when it’s less busy and most people are already leaving. I went from 14.30 – 18.00 hrs and had plenty of time and peace to stroll through the gardens, photograph, and have breaks. The colour explosion is immense and all senses are tickled by the fragrant hyacinths, and chirping birds.
