Ob-La-Di Paris

Top 5 Favourite Breakfast spots in Paris

The more I get to know Paris, the more I like it. The charm of the city already captivates me early in the morning when I go out for breakfast. Whether you go to a small coffee place, or a hip restaurant, having breakfast in Paris is always special. I love how laid-back and paced they enjoy their first meal of the day. The coffee is always good, and well, I don’t have to explain how good their bread and pastries are. Today I would like to share my 5 favourite spots for breakfast so far, because I bet that I’ll find new ones the next time I go to Paris.

Ob-La-Di Cafe – 54 Rue de Saintonge

This small but very cozy cafe in Le Marais is my absolute favourite one. The staff here is super friendly, the coffee is just too good and the food is super fresh and delicious. You can just taste the love that goes into making the food. While I was sipping my coffee, they brought out freshly baked scones. I had a go at their thick slice of toast with avocado and pomegranate. I also witnessed their big bowls of granola with flavors like honey berry, maple oat and fig quinoa. It’s a very intimate space but decorated in a way that makes you linger nonetheless.

Season – 1 Rue Dupuis

Season my second favourite spot in Le Marais to have breakfast, or better yet brunch. This all-day brunch spot has such an extensive menu that you want to try everything on it. From pancakes to tartines, and matcha bowls to different kinds of muesli. Glutenfree or vegan, there is something for everyone.

Wild & The Moon – 55 Rue Charlot

Wild & The Moon in Le Marais is the place to be for everything healthy, organic, gluten-free, vegan and so forth. The interior draws you in with lots of hanging plants and greenery. On the menu you’ll find many smoothies, cold-pressed juices, superfoods and the like.

The Broken Arm – 12 Rue Perrée

The Broken arm is a conceptstore and adjacent cafe with a minimalist, Scandinavian vibe. They have a small but nice breakfast menu of fruits, pastries and sweet things. Their coffee is their actual star with beans from Cafe Lomi.

Paperboy Paris – 137 Rue Amelot

For a big hearty breakfast I always go to Paperboy Paris in Le Bastille. What I like is that you can choose different menus with 3 foods to sample. The healthy menu, the fatty or the paperben. The interior is trendy and the restaurant draws a young and hip crowd.
