Step into this pinterest perfect restaurant in Amsterdam east where the interior and the food channel you to the Mediterranean shores. The restaurant’s boho interior design transported me to the beaches of Comporta, Portugal with its natural materials and neutral colour scheme.  It has that beach-house feel, with rattan mirrors, basket lampshades and lots of bamboo and wicker. The food is finger-licking good made with fresh ingredients and a lot of love. Vegetarians and gluten-intolerant people were also taken into consideration when creating the menu. The dishes are small and light to encourage sharing and sampling.  Try the Portugese pasteis bacalhau, the grilled asparagus with prociutto or the pan seared sea bass with peas puree. On sunny days you can bask in the sun on the outside, waterfront terrace and watch boats float by on the Amstel river.

Bam Boa is open for lunch and dinner. Check out their website for more info and reservations: bam-boa-amsterdam.com
