Paris is always a good idea – on a bike

Who doesn’t like Paris? Especially in spring it is such an enchanting place. Although it’s not my favourite European city (London is), a weekend in Paris is always a good idea. Especially if you live as close as I do. From architecture to good food, and from shopping to museums, there is so much to see and do that you never get bored. But what I love most, is cycling around the city at night. On nearly every block you have rental bikes, ready to pick up. The system is so easy, and once you’re done you can easily drop the bike off somewhere else. So that’s what I did. I cycled across town, from the Bastille, to the Notre Dame, the Louvre, and the Arc triumph. I ended my cycling tour at the Eiffel Tower that is even more impressive at night. Every hour it lightens up with a spectacular light show. It was wonderful! A must-try if you are visiting Paris.
