What to splurge on at Victoria’s Secret this holiday season

To Americans, Victoria's Secret is nothing special. The stores are everywhere. But to a Dutch woman, it is pure delight to step into a Victoria's Secret store. I've been a loyal customer since the late 1990s when I was living in the States. Once back in the Netherlands, I continued to order my lingerie and briefs online. And although we have a tiny store at the Amsterdam airport (with only beauty products and a few panties), it doesn't come close to the real stores boasting with lace and sheer … [Read more...]

Art Deco exhibition in Gemeentemuseum The Hague

On Friday I visited the exhibition 'Art Deco' in the Gemeente museum in The Hague. It's a must see for anyone who loves fashion and/or interior design. The building of the Gemeente museum is in itself very fitting for this exhibition as it is also Art Deco architecture by H.P. Berlage. The exhibition lasts until March 4, 2018. The emergence of Art Deco, which begun in 1920 and lasted till 1939 influenced fashion, arts, architecture, interior design and industrial design. Couturier Paul Poiret … [Read more...]

While most of you are back to work, I'm having an amazing vacation in Sicily. When travelling I always dress the part, so today I would like to share a few of my favourite accessories I wear to complete my summer apparel. I'm strutting around in super comfortable, handmade leather sandals. They are Greek design and therefore very colorful and happy with pompoms and beads. They are from Ammos Accessories. To add some bling I'm stacking different bracelets from Ashiana London and Sonja Bonk. … [Read more...]

The Taka fashion items can be labeled luxurious resort wear that can be worn to the beach but also to dinner or cocktails on sultry summer nights.
