Dress for Transition Season

Summer is over and autumn is soon upon us. With the transitioning of the seasons, it’s always a challenge to pick the right outfit. In the morning it’s still cool and crisp outside, but around noon it warms up. And while it’s warm outside, inside the breeze of the airconditioning makes you fetch a cardigan or blazer. I’ve found just the perfect transition piece to adapt to all those conditions and stay stylish.

Season defying dress

This season defying dress is a timeless piece for your wardrobe. You can wear the sleeveless pin-striped dress all year round, and mix and match it with different cardigans, thick knits, or blazers to cover your arms when needed. It’s a versatile dress to wear to any occasion. You can even wear it to a party, topped with a robust leather crop jacket and stiletto heels. The look changes instantly when paired with boots, flats, or even sneakers. What I love most is the bow with a peek-a-boo detail that adds a bit of sexy and playfulness.

Autumn/Winter 2016/2017 colours

Ocher yellow, plum, wine red, blue hues and jade green are the colors for this autumn and winter. But instead of investing in a new wardrobe, it’s much easier to keep your dresses neutral and timeless and use accessories to go with the trends. With a Lacoste pair of glasses, and Tosca Blu bag in the same wine red hue, and a pair of vintage ocher pumps, and ochre WE cardigan, my transitional-dressing woes are solved.
