What I love about the Christmas season are all the Christmas festivities, fairs, markets and light spectacles across the country. It’s the best way to get into the holiday spirit and shop for unique curiosities and beautiful ornaments. Coming weekend, beginning on Thursday, there are a lot of fairs and festivities. One of them is the Christmas fair at the Keukenhof in Lisse. It’s a fair I visit annually. This year is bound to be bigger than ever before with a circus act, ice skating rink, Christmas carol choirs, and of course dozens of stands with food, drinks, and Christmas decorations.
Here’s a short list of a few other Christmas fairs, markets and light spectacles I’ll be visiting this year or have visited previously:
- Night of lights in Delft
- Christmas fair Marienwaerdt in Beesd
- Gouda in Candle light
- Magical Maastricht
- Dickens Festivity in Deventer
- The sand magician night in Gouda
- Amsterdam light festival
- China light spectacle in Rotterdam
- Christmas market in the caves of Valkenburg
O thanks for the list of Christmas events Louise. Very handy!
