Juuyo lamps

Last week I was in Utrecht at the interior design store Strand West, and the minute I walked in I saw these two lamps. I was mesmerized and still am. I love Japanese inspired design, especially when blossom or floral design is involved. The Juuyo lamps are from Moooi, and are the work of Italian designer Lorenza Bozzoli. She designed them to visualize the graceful yet sensual cultural heritage of the poetic Geisha in form and colours. It is poetic but also quirky. One has the depiction of a Koi carp and the other of peach flowers. I would love to have the one with the flowers but unfortunately it’s not in my budget at the moment. They are 700 euros. A girl can always dream!

These lamps are a good find!! I love them 🙂

  2. What a great find, they are beautiful and very special. I am wondering if they hand painted inside which would kind of justify the price. xx

  3. Beautiful. They really portray the Japanese feel. I’m sure very soon you’ll have your own one. x

  4. These lights are fantastic and like nothing that I’ve seen before. I really love the style and pattern on the inside. What a great find. xD
