Each year I get lots of remarks from people who are waiting to see my Christmas decor at home. Last year I saved my disclosure till the day before Christmas to build up anticipation. It was all soft pink and white, very feminine and inspired by Audrey Hepburn’s sophistication. This year, I went with a copper theme, with salmon, and brown accents. I probably move or add more in during the coming days, but the basics are there. So here’s a peek at my small seating area with my bar station. To live up to the plants trend I have incorporated a few greens in my decor as well. My advent candles are on a copper tray on my dining table. So let’s start with the most important thing, the mini bar station. I’ve created a nook to have all cocktail and wine essentials at the tip of my fingers. I will be adding some more things over the holidays like drink stirrers, a lime squeezer and olives. For now it’ll do with a few glasses, vintage decantors with rum, a shaker and gold chevron straws. I used the ice bucket as a vase for evergreen. I love my new wine glasses from Zara Home.
Evergreen, plants and flowers are indispensable accents in a Christmas decor. Besides that they spruce up the place, they also smell awesome. On my dining table is my advent evergreen piece on a copper tray. On a side table I put a rustic vase with a whimsical amaryllis and copper ornaments. And on my coffee table I used a succulent in a copper mug under a bell jar.
On my coffee table I created a vignette with candles. The candle sticks are from Madam Stoltz and I’m so happy I found them. You can just nail them into wood or put them in a bottle. My christmas tree is filled with copper, brown and rust brown baubles and ornaments. It pairs well with another new accessory I got last week: an accent pillow from Mariska Meijers Designs.
The shelf above my TV where I usually have framed art on display is now temporarily a Christmas shelf with a collection of things I like. At night I turn on the happy light bulbs that I have attached on the shelf with some washi tape.
My white brick accent wall transformed into a Christmas wall as well with a deer’s head and fun and festive decorations. I spray painted his antlers gold but you can’t really see it in this picture.
