Hotel to Heart: Motel One London Tower-Hill

London is my favourite weekend getaway or short city-trip destination. And although it’s only a 45 minute flight and highly affordable to fly there, the strong sterling pound, and hotel expenses keep me from going there more than once a year. If it wasn’t for that, I would be there at least every three months. But now I have found a hotel that might be a game changer. The hotel Motel One London Tower-Hill is so affordable and up to my standards of elegance and comfort, that I might go to London more often. For £98 you have a comfortable room, only a five minute walk from London’s iconic Tower Hill and Tower Hill metro station. motel one

The Motel One London Tower-Hill has a modern interior with a fresh colour palette of blue, browns and greys. The lobby and bar is a large airy meeting point and space to relax with large comfy arm chairs, egg chairs and stylish benches. There is an informal laid-back atmosphere which makes you feel right at home. The breakfast buffet is also served in this space where you can help yourself to fresh pastries, fruit, yoghurt and hot drinks. IMG_4979IMG_4982IMG_4988IMG_4971IMG_4975IMG_4977IMG_4995

The bedrooms are simple but with all amenities needed. There are enough outlets to charge your gadgets, there’s a hairdryer, and the view… Imagine waking up to a view like the photo below? But most importantly, the bed is comfortable and the shower is just right. IMG_4960motel one 2

Also important: the wifi in the hotel is superb and fast! And you can even borrow an iPad if needed. The Motel One London Tower Hill is definitely one to remember for my next trip to London!

#spon – This was a complimentary press stay. Nonetheless, I only share products or recommend places I like and are good for my readers.

  1. Sounds like a perfect short stay. Love the new kind of Hotels that make it affordable for business and pleasure travellers like ourselves… Read about the Vienna one on Igor’s blog too. Great review. Thank you…
