I would like to wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thank you for being part of my blogging journey in 2015. I’m taking a short break and will be back January 11, 2016 but only for a few more weeks until the beginning of Feb. In February I’m going on a much longer leave of 6-10 weeks to focus on my private life and offline priorities.
2015 has brought me a lot of little luxuries and accomplishments I’m proud of. The photo of me above was taken earlier this year for a Serbian magazine, where I was featured in the December issue. You can see the 4 pages here. Other highlights were my trip to the Côte d’Azur with a lovely stay at the Sezz Hotel, and my trip to Paris and Turkey. I also very much enjoyed the many restaurants I tried like Heavenly Rembrandt, Brasserie Goldfinch, and FG Food labs. My first ever fashion shoot with Laura Blagogee was so much fun! And the Jose James concert and Swan Lake Ballet were cherries on top of this year’s cake. As you might have noticed, I blogged less than the years before. Due to changes in my private life, and the need for me-time and JOMO this will also be the case in 2016.
2015 also had some saddening and disturbing developments in the world and society. Therefore I would like to end this year with the lyrics of a song by Stevie Wonder. I have always loved this song, and feel that especially now the lyrics are very applicable. Merry Christmas!
SOMEDAY AT CHRISTMAS
Someday at Christmas men won’t be boys
Playing with bombs like kids play with toys
One warm December our hearts will see
A world where men are free
Playing with bombs like kids play with toys
One warm December our hearts will see
A world where men are free
Someday at Christmas there’ll be no wars
When we have learned what Christmas is for
When we have found what life’s really worth
There’ll be peace on earth
When we have learned what Christmas is for
When we have found what life’s really worth
There’ll be peace on earth
Someday all our dreams will come to be
Someday in a world where men are free
Maybe not in time for you and me
But someday at Christmastime
Maybe not in time for you and me
But someday at Christmastime
Someday at Christmas we’ll see a land
With no hungry children, no empty hand
One happy morning people will share
Our world where people care
With no hungry children, no empty hand
One happy morning people will share
Our world where people care
Someday at Christmas there’ll be no tears
All men are equal and no men have fears
One shining moment, one prayer away
From our world today
All men are equal and no men have fears
One shining moment, one prayer away
From our world today
Someday all our dreams will come to be
Someday in a world where men are free
Maybe not in time for you and me
But someday at Christmastime
Maybe not in time for you and me
But someday at Christmastime
Someday at Christmas man will not fail
Hate will be gone and love will prevail
Someday a new world that we can start
With hope in every heart
Hate will be gone and love will prevail
Someday a new world that we can start
With hope in every heart
Someday all our dreams will come to be
Someday in a world where men are free
Maybe not in time for you and me
But someday at Christmastime
Someday at Christmastime
Someday in a world where men are free
Maybe not in time for you and me
But someday at Christmastime
Someday at Christmastime
