Book review: Paris through a fashion eye by Megan Hess

If there’s one book to give or get this holiday season, it is the new coffee table book by Megan Hess. After her other successful books Coco ChanelFashion House, The Dress and New York, she once again created a coffee table book that guarantees luxe and sophistication on every single page. Paris through a fashion eye is an illustrated guide to the fashionista’s Paris. Megan Hess takes you on an elegant adventure through Paris by highlighting all the stylish shops, hotels, restaurants and must-see sites in the most romantic city in the world. A perfect Christmas gift for yourself or someone else to spend hours of uninterrupted couch time, when it’s much too cold and dark to step outside. With a box of Laduree macarons, my flanel pyamas on and a hot pot of Angelina chestnut tea, I mimic to be in Paris right from my own couch.

Megan Hess Paris book

The gorgeous book is a real treasure with its gilt-edged pages and glossy pages. The illustrations are so detailed that you can look at them multiple times, discovering something new each instance.  Megan Hess captures Paris in all its luxury and beauty. The short texts that give information about the boutiques, sites and restaurants are written in a light and informative manner. (watch my video to get a peek inside – 45 sec)
