First, I would like to apologize in advance for the overload of pictures that are about to follow. If you know me well, you know I'm obsessed with blossom. In fact, my blog used to have blossom as a logo before I changed it to the current look and feel. I was therefore beyond excitement when I visited the Amsterdam forest (Amsterdamse bos) today to get emerged in a field of blooming trees with white and pink cherry blossom. Orchids and blossom at the Botanical Garden in Leiden

Spring has sprung, finally. A perfect opportunity to go to the Botanical Garden! You might remember last year's blog post where I showed you the garden in early autumn. A warm and inspiring spot to meet for lunch or dinner. The interior was designed by her sister Briony Fitzgerald. In the light-filled 'winter' … [Read more...]

I love tulips and hyacinths, especially the far stretching fields I pass on the highway. Each year I take photographs because they will always continue to mesmerize me. I also love seeing the tourist going totally wild and oooh and aaah-ing. It makes me more aware of the beauty of it all. A visit to the Keukenhof is … [Read more...]

5 Spring wreaths for Easter

Wouldn't it be nice to welcome your guests this Easter weekend at the door with a beautiful spring wreath? I love to make my own wreaths with fresh flowers and greens. It's a calming craft project and you get to enjoy the end result each day you come home for at least a few days when nurtured and kept out of the sun. At night I put my wreath in the fridge to conserve it. How to make them? Have a look here (floral) or here (succulent wreath). Which one do you like best?   photo … [Read more...]
