I recently discovered a fabulous swimwear designer. With the allure of high fashion, and the timeless elegant designs, it immediately caught my attention. Maryan Melhorn‘s bathing suits, bikinis and beach outfits and accessories have that Hollywood glam and sophistication while still being accessible and keeping it real. The cuts are clean and pure for all sizes, and are made of top of the line materials. What I loved about the current collection is the versatility of cuts and flavours, and the designs not being skimpy or tiny, but for mature and curvy women with the right support at the right places. I tried on several pieces, but the Metallica bikini with the neckline metallic detail was hands down my favourite (shown below). It fitted perfectly.
In the 2014 collection there are several sub-collections. The Metallica designs are all in black with metallic details and a sophisticated cut. I also love the Portofino polka dot collection that harks back to yesteryear’s Miami.
The Firebird collection introduces an exotic look with vibrant colours and bold patterns. Coral Tree suits have a feminine nautical feel while the Rendez Vous pieces mix beautiful spring colours with an amazing mix of prints. Maori adds an ethnic touch, and Vernissage is stunning in luminescent sorbets. There are many more, so just have a look at the website. The designs are sold worldwide at selected stores.
