My favourite illustrator Megan Hess has done it again. I just can’t believe how talented she is. If you have been following my blog you might remember that I have written about her several times already; Megan Hess’ Home tour, her first book Fashion House, and her fabulous design rugs. And just when you think it can’t get any better than that, Megan Hess launches her new book ‘The Dress – 100 iconic moments in fashion‘ published by Hardie Grant Books. It is the best coffee table book a girl can have.
The 208 pages, hardcover book is elegant in itself and also a collection of the most elegant and greatest fashion moments in history. It features dresses that are legendayr worn by fashion icons, celebrities and Oscar winners. In six chapters Megan Hess leads us through fashion history with illustrations of the most iconic dresses, accompanied by anecdotes, famous quotes, or background information. In chapter one we are treated to memorable dresses by the leading design houses. In the chapter Icons we get to swoon over dresses worn by Carrie Bradshaw, Princess Diana, Grace Kellyand Jackie Kennedy. In the next chapters music artists, movie stars and Oscars winners are stunningly precise illustrated. From the legendary Audrey Hepburn, to Diana Ross, Marilyn Monroe and Julia Roberts.
There is also a separate chapter dedicated to iconic wedding dresses from e.g. Grace Kelly, Elizabeth Taylor or by designers Vera Wang and Chanel. The book is a collectors item for anyone who loves fashion or beautiful illustrations. A perfect gift for a friend or family member for Christmas!

I’m not really a fan of fashion but even I think this book looks divine. Those illustrations are just beautiful.
