With Valentine’s Day only a few days ahead, I thought it was time to share another one of my favourite hotels in Paris. I stayed in this hotel in December so there were Christmas decorations everywhere. Therefore I chose not to photograph the hotel myself but instead use their pictures so you get a fair representation of what the hotel really looks like. I had a lovely stay at this small but perfectly located hotel. The small 17 rooms Crayon Rouge hotel is located in the 1st district of Paris, just a few steps away from the Louvre Museum, the Jardin des Tuileries, the quartier des Halles and the famous rue Rivoli.
Designed as a guest house, and just around the corner of its bigger brother Hotel Crayon, the vintage and colourful interior screams retro and friendliness. It is set up like a home with a living room like lobby, and a family kitchen where they serve breakfast. The rooms and reception area are boasting with art and sketches, primary colours and retro touches. Even the phones are retro taking you back to your childhood. Each room has its own individual style. In the morning you can have breakfast in the kitchen and help yourself to fresh croissants, juice or eggs. Hotel Crayon Rouge is a small home away from home.
Although this blog post was created in collaboration with the hotel through a complimentary press stay, I like to reiterate that I only recommend products and services I really like and feel are good for my readers.
