Going back to work doesn’t have to be a downer. Moreover, for the people who have a work space at #Workmode in Amsterdam going to work is rather a happy moment. Imagine working in an Amsterdam canal town house in a shared space with other freelancers, creatives, and independent business owners that looks like a live pinterest board. Yes please! Emilie Sobels, founder of #Workmode, came up with the idea to create an inspiring, design conscious, and fun work space that would boost creativity and feels like home.
At #Workmode social influencers, webshop owners and other creatives can rent either a flex desk for 3 days a week, or a permanent spot for 7 days and unlimited access. Benefits of working in a shared space is that you get out of the house, don’t get distracted by house chores or kids, and can network and build relationships with other like-minded people. All valid reasons to trade that home office space for a desk in #Workmode I’d say.
The interior is breezy and light with an eclectic mix of furniture. Think elegant white design chairs, industrial lamps, a vintage rattan bench with bohemian cushions, a retro-style SMEGG fridge, and a fresh palm-leaf wallpapered accent wall. There are plants everywhere, which is right on trend with the urban jungle hype. On each desk there’s a marble board to display your desk accessories and keep it all organized, or at least a beautiful mess. When the weather permits, lunch is outside overlooking the Amsterdam canals. And don’t expect drinks in plastic cups or boring mugs, but here they sip lemonade with colorful straws or tap flavoured water after a hulahoop break. Who doesn’t want to work at #Workmode?

I think Amsterdam is one of the greenest cities in Europe. So so cool. Need to check that out next time I am in Amsterdam…which is beginning of October!!!

Onwijs leuk gedaan. Je ziet tegenwoordig al heel veel van dit soort pandjes waar je een ruimte kan huren. Dit is tot nu toe wel de leukste en je zit ook lekker in het centrum.
