Weekends are always too short don’t you think? One thing I love about weekends is that I can have an elaborate and long breakfast with friends before we go shopping. A few weeks ago, we had a shopping day in Rotterdam and decided to start the day with a big breakfast at Baker & Moore. The friendly staff welcomed us in a laid-back interior decorated with cushions, rustic wood, and industrial lamps. First thing first, a cup of coffee and fresh orange juice. Then we got to choose our breakfast. We opted for the breakfast for 2 tray, consisting of different breads, scones, and croissants, cheeses and meat products. [continue reading after jump]
The scones were really good, as were the croissants and the fresh baked bread. Baker & Moore uses as much artisan products and regional products as possible, and daily prepares everything fresh. They serve their own brand of coffee, and their fresh pressed slow juices are real energy boosters. Besides the tray they also serve other breakfast à la carte, or you can opt to create your own sandwich in 3 steps by choosing your own bread and toppings. Breakfast is served daily from 7.30- 10.30 and in the weekends all day. I hear their high tea is also a winner, maybe next time!
