One of my top 10 lunch restaurants in Amsterdam – The Seafood Bar – just opened its third location in Amsterdam. After the Seafood Bar in Van Baerlestraat (old South), where I usually go, and the one on Spui (centre), it is now the hip Ferdinand Bolstraat in neighbourhood De Pijp that is spruced up with an establishement. ‘The Seafood Market‘, which is going to be the shop’s name, is a modern fish restaurant with high quality fish. The place provides take-away, where customers can choose from a variety of products from The Seafood Bar. There is also a restaurant where guests can have seafood dishes while enjoying a glass of wine.
The Seafood Market is a modern seafood store in a light, casual surrounding, with a large seating area that offers high quality fish. Many of the products in the Seafood Bar, such as the lobster soup and the fruits de mer are available to take home. The wide range of products, among other things, consists of fish and chips, herring, instant-meals and sandwiches. Besides the take-away section, one can also order cold and hot dishes in the seating area whilst enjoying a glass of wine. My favourites? The cold and warm fish platters that give you a taste of everything. – Ferdinand Bolstraat 32
