Earlier this month I went to Paris for the Paris Design week. And as always I stayed in a design hotel that exceeded my expectations. I stayed at Hôtel de Nell, located just a 5-minute walk from Grand Boulevard. The 5-star design hotel is the sister hotel of the Benkiraï hotel where I stayed in Saint Tropez. And like the Benkiraï you can expect top-end service, discreet luxury and a chic but very relaxed atmosphere.
Intimate and quiet atmosphere
Hôtel de Nell counts 33 rooms, which is palpable in the very intimate and personal atmosphere. I was welcomed in style with a bottle of champagne to enjoy in my beautiful Prestige suite. The Prestige suite has a spacious bedroom with gorgeous French balconies overlooking the Rue de Conservatoire. Well-being is the signature of the hotel found in many details. Details like the choice of your preferred pillow from an à la carte menu, or a Nespresso coffee machine and an Alessi kettle with an unlimited selection of teas and coffees. But the cherry on top of the cake is the bathroom…
Japanese bath
The bathroom is a space you like to linger. It slows you down instantly. With a blend of natural materials: raw marble and Oregon myrtle wood, a Japanese bath and an Italian shower your bath rituals are enhanced to the max. The Japanese bath experience gives you 3 options with energizing, cleansing or stress-relieving products from Bulgari.
The hotel interior
The interior design of mostly muted colours and sleek chic furniture is by Jean-Michel Wilmotte. The restaurant concept is by Bruno Doucet. The lobby is a calm and light space where you can work or relax. A sleek bar leads to the vinoteque and restaurant La Régalade Conservatoire. More about the restaurant here. The vinoteque is a place to retreat, play a game of chess, and enjoy a good glass of wine.
Résidence Nell
I also stayed a night in Residence Nell, 300 meter from the hotel. These are small apartments with hotel service and amenities. A nice alternative if you prefer an apartment.
