Book review: Iconic by Megan Hess

It’s almost like a tradition, as each year just before the holidays, Megan Hess drops a new coffee table book. And being a fan and collector of Megan Hess’ work, I naturally got my hands on it. Iconic, The Masters of Italian Fashion is the title of her new swoonworthy illustrations book that is a homage to the fashion designs of Italian fashion houses Armani, Fendi, Prada, Miu Miu, Missoni, Valentino, Gucci, Pucci, Versace and Dolce & Gabbana. Her jaw-dropping illustrations are so detailed and captivating that you discover something new each time you open the book. The drawings are accompanied by background stories about the brand and its origin.

Although all runway looks in the book are unique and varied, the common denominator of Italian couture is passion.  Italian designs are bold, glamourous and have a story to tell. And that’s what makes all ten of them iconic. Iconic, The Masters of Italian Fashion is therefore a perfect Christmas gift for the fashionista in your circle, or for any woman who appreciates spectacular illustrations.
