Shopping at Tierlantijn

One of my favourite shops in Groningen is Tierlantijn. And as Groningen is a long drive, I’m happy that they also have a webshop. The store is run by 38 year old Ilona de Jong, mother of two. She selects precious finds, lifestyle accessories with a natural look, and robust items. Her assortment can be best described by simplicity and natural. She also carries beautiful ethnic items from India and Morocco. Items with a story. Here are my favourite picks:

My favourite floor items are a wooden owl doorstop, a corn leaf wicker rug, and a rug with an inspirational text.

Add a little ethnic chic in your home with these Indian henna stamps. You can use them decorative or as doorknobs. I’m also loving the enamel bowl with a Moroccan print and the pillow with golden coins. True artisan work!

Collecting feathers or Syrian soap is one thing, but displaying it nicely is another. Tierlantijn has a variety of beautiful feathers for sale.
