Hotel to Heart: Kapari Natural Resort on Santorini

Kapari Natural Resort poolside

Santorini has always been in my top 10 of travel destinations. After visiting Mykonos, my desire to visit the most famous Greek island only grew more. Last month, my dream came true. My trip to Santorini was one of my most memorable holidays; not only because of the heavenly infinite blues of the sea and pastel and white washed houses that are ingrained in my memory, but also because of the incomparable luxury experience I was treated to at the Kapari Natural Resort. A stay at the … [Read more...]

Mykonos Favourite Beach: Elia Beach

Mykonos beaches are famed all over the world. Most popular are the party beaches Paradise and Super Paradise where you get to rub elbows with celebrities and dance to the tunes of international DJs. But these two beaches aren't necessarily the best beaches on the island. Moreover, they are anything but family-friendly, loud, and overcrowded. The beaches on the northern coast of the island are less organized and ideal to enjoy some peace and calm. I have visited several calm beaches and party … [Read more...]

Jetting off to the sun

Cote d'azur

Today I'm jetting off to the Côte d'Azur again. You might remember I was there a year ago, and blogged about Saint Tropez, Monaco, Grasse and Hotel Sezz. This year I'm going back to cosmopolitan Saint Tropez, to use it as a base to explore the Var region. I'm going to explore Grimaud, Ramatuelle, Le Lavandou, Hyères, and the Isles du Hyères. If the weather permits, I also would like to drive up north to Gorges du Verdon. If you have recommendations or suggestions for good restaurants, beautiful … [Read more...]

Gift Guide for Her: Little Luxuries

Have you started gift shopping yet? In today's gift guide I thought it would be nice to share my own wish list for my upcoming birthday (Dec 17th), and for Christmas. Things that make my house feel like a home: For me it's a luxury to come home and slip into warm soft slippers. I love to sit down while drinking delicious tea blends in a space full of lit candles and … [Read more...]

Hip Hang-out on Mykonos: Scorpios

I've got some hot of the press news for you today! If you're a regular reader of my blog, you might recall my blog posts about my holiday at the San Giorgio Mykonos Hotel (read here and here). The good news is that on May 22, 2015 they are opening another cool concept: a bohemian hip hang-out called Scorpios. I predict this is something not to miss on your next vacation on Mykonos. The beach club is like no other, characterized by the simplicity of a beach shack and the charm of faraway … [Read more...]

Christmas shopping in Paris – 7 things not to miss

I just returned from a Christmas shopping trip to Paris and it was awesome! I'm exhausted but it was worth it. Previous years I went to London (see my London tips here) and Berlin (see my Berlin tips here), but I had never been to Paris during the holiday season. It was magical, romantic and really a good idea. In January I will share more of my city trip, but for now I would like to show you what not to miss if you are going to Paris coming days. 1. The Ferris Wheel on Place de la Concorde … [Read more...]

Thanksgiving Wreath

I love to make my own wreath and floral arrangements for the holidays. Have you also noticed that lush and asymmetrical wreaths are trending? Another trend I also noticed is the use of succulents in wreaths and bouquets. Inspired by the many pictures on pinterest and blogs I created a small wreath with eucalyptus, dahlias, a succulent and berries. I first covered the mold with moss and tightened it with wire. I then used rope to tighten the eucalyptus branch by branch on top of one another … [Read more...]
