Spring clean your skin, for the sun is forecast to come out tomorrow and make its presence in full galore! After the longest winter ever, it is actually going to happen. Spring is coming! And while we all spring clean our homes, our skin could use a little pep as well. Before going out in the sun, it is advisable to first give it a good scrub to exfoliate all the dead skin cells and make it shine again. Your soft and polished skin will tan much better, after using a good sun screen of course. You can save yourself a trip to the spa by making your own lavender scrub. It’s easy and fun. and it also makes a lovely gift. Lavender has relaxing and healing properties, so you might want to opt to use it in the evening. (scroll down for the recipe and instructions)
First you need a glass mason jar, old jelly jar or any canning jar. Then mix in:
- 1 tbsp dried lavender buds
- 1/2 cup jojoba oil
- 2 cups coarse sea salt
- 5 drops essential lavender oil
