This week is your last chance to visit the ‘Viktor & Rolf – Fashion Artists 25 years’ exhibition in the Kunsthal museum in Rotterdam. I visited it a few weeks ago, just in time because it’s only running until September 30.
The Dutch designer duo is renowned for their ‘radical’ vision that fashion is ‘wearable art’. Although it’s not a a large exhibition, it does give a good overview of their development and works in the past 25 years. They often say: “We often play with the idea of two people being one, or both of us being of one mind, and we play with our image to express that.” They constantly move the boundaries and interplay with romance and rebellion, extremities and classicism.
