My experience is that the best shops are not on the highstreet. This is certainly the case for Amsterdam where I try to avoid the busy Kalverstraat as much as possible. As autumn is slowly making its entrance and we are more house bound, we start to channel our energy to our interiors again. One of the best shops in the Netherlands to get your colour fix and succeed in finding something unique is Pols Potten. This interior design store is off the beaten track, and a hidden gem to a bunch of Dutch as well.
The store is located on the KNSM island in northern Amsterdam. An old warehouse is home to everything that we need for our homes: china and glassware, furniture, lamps, accessories, custom kitchens and books. Whether you opt for vibrant yellow, seductive red, or calming green, the accessories and furniture are all statement pieces.
